By playing Meridish at meridish.com or in the Meridish apps, you agree to these terms. In them, "Meridish", "we" and "us" mean the team that runs the game.
Playing Meridish
Meridish is free to play for your own enjoyment. You don't need an account. Your progress is kept under a random ID, as the privacy policy explains.
Play fair
Please don't:
- use bots, scripts or other automated tools to play, or to collect menus or answers;
- try to see a dish's hometown before you've served your guess;
- overload, attack or interfere with the game, its servers or other players.
We may remove scores, or block access, where these rules are broken.
Who owns what
- The game, its design, the Meridish name and logo, the clues and the dish write-ups belong to Meridish.
- Dish photos belong to their photographers. We use them under the Unsplash License or the Creative Commons license shown with each photo, and credit each one in the game. Photos shared under a share-alike license (CC BY-SA) are offered, as cropped for Meridish, under that same license.
- Map data comes from Natural Earth, which is in the public domain.
- Your shared results are yours to post anywhere. That's what they're for.
About the food facts
Where a dish comes from is often disputed. We research every hometown, but the clues and answers are for fun and may contain mistakes. If you spot one, tell us.
Changes to the game
We may change, pause or end Meridish or any part of it, including menus, scoring and rules, at any time.
No guarantees
Meridish is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Meridish, and our total liability to you is limited to what you've paid us to play, which is nothing.
The app stores
If you got Meridish from the Apple App Store or Google Play, their terms apply too. On Apple devices, Apple's standard licence agreement for apps also applies.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Playing after a change means you accept the new terms.
